Apple's iPad

Apple unveiled its slim tablet computer, iPad, on Wednesday, January 27, 2010.Repeating the success story of the iPhone is the major challenge before the Apple now.
The iPad “is so much more intimate than a laptop, and  it’s so much more capable than a smartphone with its gorgeous screen,” Steve Jobs said while introducing it to a group of invited guests at the Moscone Center.Some versions of the iPad will be commercially available in March, he said.
The iPad comes in two flavors one with only Wi-Fi and the other with
Wi-Fi and 3G wireless.The 16GB, ipad costs around $499 for Wi-Fi version without 3G and $629 with 3G.
3G will be provided in the U.S. by AT&T and sold with two
prepaid contract-free data plan options: one for unlimited data and one for
250 MB/month at half the price. The plans will be activated on the iPad itself and can be canceled at any time.It does not have features such as camera and Flash. For some, it is little more than an oversize iPod Touch.Apple claims that the IPad is the best device for certain kinds of computing such as browsing the web, reading e-books and playing video.
